Thinking A Lot

These days I find myself thinking about time a lot. Maybe it's fatherhood.

Perhaps it was reading Oliver Burkeman's Four Thousand Weeks: Time Management for Mortals last year.

As the description for the book says:

"The average human lifespan is absurdly, insultingly brief."

The four thousand weeks comes from an assumption that you'll live to be eighty. An assumption that won't become reality for many. So, an absurdly brief life becomes even more brief.

What are you doing with your absurdly brief time on this planet? Are you leading the life you want? Doing the things you truly want to do?
