First Custom Pen: Skogsy Pens Low Volume Eye Dropper

Last year I decided it was time to get my first custom pen. Fortunately, I came across The Gentleman Stationer’s Pen Review: Skogsy Pens Low Volume Eyedropper, which made my decision even easier.
After reading of the LVED model that Zach, the pen maker behind Skogsy Pen, created, I knew that was the one. Given my appreciation and love of Japanese eyedroppers, this one having a smaller ink capacity appealed to me. The lower volume made it a much more practical daily pen.
Making pens since 2021, Zach has quickly earned a great reputation in the fountain pen world for making unique pens that are excellent writing instruments. Now that I’ve owned a Skogsy pen for more than six months, I can confidently say the reputation is truly well earned.

I opted for a standard polished acrylic body and paired it with the Bog Monster acrylic from Turnt Co. for the grip & top. It’s a beautiful pen if I say so myself.
Recently, I also swapped out the nib for a Graph Stacked nib by Jose Munuera from the Stilo&Stile Specialty Nib program. More on that in a later post!
Needless to say, I’ve already submitted another commission request for my second LVED. I figured I should get it in now to secure my spot in Zach’s queue for later this year.
