January 31, 2025 ☼ Life ☼ Thoughts
I am proud of the life we have built. Recently, as one does during major transitions, I realized that I have done a lot of what I set out to do.
Sure, different decisions could have been made, which would have allowed for more. Does that mean I made the wrong decisions back then? No. I don’t think so.
I might have been further along in certain people’s playbook if I had made certain choices. So? I would not have been true to mine in the process.
Many of us were raised to believe that to live a good life, we had to follow specific playbooks, which dictated certain choices necessary to walk a successful path. Typically, the successful path is full of ‘more.’
More isn’t always better. That’s why you should always question the advice and direction others freely give. What’s their angle? Rarely in life do people not have one.
Therefore, any advice or guidance offered needs to be internalized and filtered through your lens. That way, you can ensure that you live life by your playbook, making the choices and decisions that will ultimately fill your life.
Don’t fall for the playbooks others have designed for whatever gains they deem worthy. Don’t fall for the trapping of ‘more.’
At the end of the day, you’re the one living your life. So, make the choices and decisions that you feel align with your truth.
I am proud to say we’re living our truth. Whether it makes sense to anybody else is not my concern.
