I recently came across a quote that has been on my mind constantly.

“The fact is always obvious much too late, but the most singular difference between happiness and joy is that happiness is a solid and joy a liquid.” - J.D. Salinger.

The metaphor is interesting. Salinger hints at happiness as a more long-term state of contentment, while joy is a more fleeting experience. 

What are you prioritizing in your life? Long-term state or fleeting experience?
